Hey everyone!
We have had an enjoyable couple of weeks, though pretty busy with work and school.Last Thursday the 14th I took Thor to the vet. The vet said that Thor is in good health and seems to be adjusting well to his new life and family. He just needed a couple of booster shots and we started him on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.
On Sunday I slept a couple hours (I worked all Saturday night) and then went up to West Lafayette to try on bridesmaid dresses for my friend Emily's wedding. Emily was one of my maids of honor in my and Matt's wedding and she and her fiance Ben will be getting married in June. The dresses are tea length and sort of a halter style. They are blue.
After trying on dresses I came back home and Mom and Dad took Matt and me out to dinner to celebrate Matt's birthday. We went to IHOP where we enjoyed a nice mix of breakfast and dinner-type foods. Dad especially liked their "all you can eat pancakes" deal that is going on right now. They also got to meet and play with Thor!
Monday was Matt's 26th birthday! He had Monday and Tuesday off from school for fall break.
Unfortunately, he had two exams coming up so he studied a good part of the day but we did manage to take a break and go to Chick-fil-a for dinner and have some home made peanut butter pie for dessert! I surprised Matt with two tickets to the Colts vs. Bengals football game on November 14th in Indy. It will be Matt's first NFL game. I also got him a Pierre Garcon Colts jersey but he is still debating on whether he will wear that or his Cincinnati Bengals t-shirt!
I ended up missing work on Tuesday and Wednesday nights because I was sick with a nasty sinus infection.
Matt had exams on Wednesday and Thursday last week. He thinks that they both went pretty well but he admits that it is very hard to study for two exams so close together!
We were pleased to hear that Eric enjoyed running a 5k at Purdue on Saturday. Also, I think Dad may have run the Purdue Half Marathon today (Sunday). And today I was able to run a full mile without having to stop to walk for the first time in a year, without knee pain! It has been a good weekend :)
That's it for now! We hope you all have a great week!
Stacey, Matt, and Thor
