Happy Halloween week!

Hi everyone!

We hope that you had a great week!  We know that we did!

On Sunday evening, I went to my friend Kristine's house and had a movie night with friends.  We watched the Halloween classic "Hocus Pocus" and ate lots of yummy food.  We also caught the second half of the Colts vs. Broncos game.  The Colts won (yay!) and it was a good game.  It was nice to see Peyton at Lucas Oil Stadium again, but I was of course rooting for the Colts.  I am a Peyton Manning fan, but a Colts fan first!

We got a surprise visit from Matt's dad on Monday.  He was in town for a meeting and it finished early, leaving him with enough time to stop by our house and to take us to dinner.  Thanks, Bob!

I did not have to go back to work until Wednesday, which was nice.  It left me with a fair amount of time to rest and recover from the marathon.  My legs still got pretty tight at work from being on my feet for a good portion of 12 hours, but they are feeling pretty good now!  I will probably try to run a couple miles on the treadmill tonight, which will be my first run since the marathon.

Congratulations to my dad, who is apparently the Men's Masters Half Marathon Champion!  We didn't know that the Indianapolis Marathon/Half Marathon was a championship race, but it was.  Since Dad came in first place in his age group, he won the championship!  How exciting is that?

We got Thor a pretty neat Halloween costume this year.  He is a T-Rex, which we decided is actually short for THORannosaurus Rex!  We had intended to take him to Klipsch Music Center, where an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records record for the most costumed dogs in one location was occurring today, but we didn't realize that we needed to bring his updated shot records.  Of course, our vet is closed on Sundays, so we couldn't participate :-(  I am not sure if the record was broken or not.

THORannosaurus Rex!
Instead, we took Thor trick-or-treating at a couple pet stores.  He got some doggy bagels, some milk bones, and some other treat that I don't know the name of.  And of course, lots of loving from kids who were at the stores!  He is passed out in his doggy bed right now.

I was able to send my little buddy, Anthony, a medal from my marathon, as well as a few other little gifts.  His mother sent me a couple photos :-)

That is it for now!  We are about to eat dinner, and then watch tonight's episode of "The Walking Dead."

Love,
Stacey, Matt, and Thor

The Colts had a by-week this week, but we still decided to show our Colts pride!
